Simone Legno
These are two of Simone's Creations. Even though that he is form Italy, Simone's work is incredibly Japanese. He says that he is inspired by how japanese art can become animated using Flash and this is also what i like about Flash.
I like this first picture (right) because it's a variety of emotions bundled up into one collage. It also has humour added to ti because the bullets at the bottom have different faces on them. What is funny is the on bullet that has been fired and is just a shell, no is lying on the floor dead. This image has very vibrant colours making it stand out. The white canvas on the background really makes the block colour and shading stand out. I like the way that he can have an image as a signiture. He is famous for the little characters that he makes and they have become iconic to his wok. Therefore you can instantly recognise his work because you recognise the characters. This can also can be said for the other picture (left).
I like the picture on the left because of the spit he has created. Most of his characters and drawings seem harmless however here he has managed to create a divide using heaven and hell. This gives the picture a comical effect and likeability because it has both sides, suggesting that all his cute drawings have dark sides. Also in the picture you can see little story's going on, the characters are interacting with each other which is something that I personally like. Also this keeps you looking at the picture and makes you remember it.

Nico Di Mattia
These two images were painted using photoshop by Nico Di Mattia. He is a digital artist that is famous for his speed paintings on youtube. I like most of his work because of the message that he sends across. From most of his work he seems to like exaggerating Features and personalities. However some of his work is quite repetitive and he doesn't seem to diverse from what he already does. This is what a concept artist would do and is why I sometimes prefer to look at concept artists instead.
On the left we can see the rhino that Nico has painted. This picture stood out to me because of the realness of the painting. I had to take a second glance before i realised that it was a painting. I also like how it it glorified or exaggerated. This picture gives the rhino power and a fearlessness. Also it make it look tough and strong. The big horn gives the impression of how dangerous it can be. The greyscale of the piece gives the picture a boring and dull tone. But think that might be the point behind the image. Nico may be trying to say that power and strength is more than how you picture something in your head. For this image i would have wanted there to be a more deadly look in the rhinos' eye. This could just emphasise how deadly it could be.
Christophe Huet
Christopher Huet has a wide range of images o his portfolio. This is an image that stood out to me because it has a comic value to it. Also it looks very impressive to the eye because it looks real. I think that this image is well done and has a funny nature. The artist my have got his inspiration from watching a child's football game and then seeing that a child hit the ball really hard He might have thought that if he could somehow show the power that some people in this case children, dont know they have. He may be expressing that big things come in small packages, however he might also just trying to apply something that he thought into an image. This image implies that one of the three boys hit the ball hard enough, that it got stuck in the post, and even professional footballers cannot do this, this gives the image a comical effect. And that is the main reason i like it.
The technique to achieve this may not have been that difficult. There are many ways to achieve one goal in photoshop however this doesn't seem to hard. I think that he used the liquidize tool on the post to make it look like he blended it in. Then it was just a case of putting the images in place and making sure that the lighting is correct.
So even though I like the concept of this image, i don't appreciate the technique very much because it seems quite simple to do.
Essfero
This is an image by the Photoshop artist Essfero. I picked this image because it is quite striking. I think that it requires a lot of skill to create and that is why I appretiate it. The main reason I like an image that someone creates on Photoshop is I like the skill that it takes to make it. For example this piece takes a medium amount of skill to accomplish. I also like the concept. I have done some work with the concept of good and evil and i can relate to this concept because I believe that this is what essfero is trying to get across. I like the effects of the fire on the tree, the detail is good because the lighting of the flames is reflected on the tree. Also I like how all of the image blends in, nothing is really out of place, the birds on both sides of the canvas. The red dark sky is shown on that side of the image and the light sky on the right blends the flock of birds which makes the image look more realistic.
There are a few flaws with the image. For example the way that the cracked ground blends in with the grass. It doesn't quite blend in as well as it should. What I would do would be to blend the grass and the cracked ground behind the tree. This I think, would make the image look a lot better.
